We ask that all companies represent themselves in a professional manner. Please remember, this is a charity event for the community, and we are all volunteering our time. 

A Bakken BBQ Masters meeting will be a few weeks prior to our event.  

BBQ MASTER GUIDELINES: 
A cooking space is 27 x 18 feet. Cooking units only. If a company wants additional space, a minimum of $5,000 to sponsor. Two space maximum. (Due to our limited space at this venue).  

Bakken BBQ does NOT supply any booth related items. It is recommended that they provide tents to keep their patrons out of the sun. Each booth purchase comes with six (6) wristbands. Wristbands are required to be worn (Day of event by 1 p.m.) by booth volunteers present at the Bakken BBQ. Additional wristbands are available for purchase. No selling of merchandise or food at the event allowed. 

BAKKEN BBQ PIT 
The Bakken BBQ tent is located next to the stage. A Bakken BBQ committee member will be present throughout the event for assistance and questions. The headquarters will house all the information for the BBQ masters, volunteers, and sponsors.  

SET UP: 
Generators, roll-offs, ice, and port-o-lets will be available Thursday. Ice will be delivered to companies on Friday from 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Companies will then be required to pick up their own ice. 

No outside vehicles will be allowed after 10:00 A.M. on Friday. Please DO NOT block the walkways while unloading. If necessary, please unload right away and move the vehicle outside the venue. No vehicles are allowed to leave the event premise during event hours. 

Door will open at 4:00 P.M. Please have food ready. 

DAY OF BBQ MASTERS MEETING: 
Companies can start setting up their booth space Thursday at 4:00 P.M.  

A representative from each company is REQUIRED to attend the BBQ Masters meeting on Friday at 10:00 inside the West River Ice Center!  

MENU: 
Each team will need to come up with their own menu capable of serving a minimum of 750 patrons. Please only serve bite size portions, as each patron will sample food from multiple companies. Must be served with gloved hands or appropriate utensils. 

SECURITY: 
10-Code Security and Event Staff will be on site during all operational hours during the event. We have the right to restrict or reject any vehicle or person for reasons of safety, including BBQ Masters and their volunteers.  

FIRST AID: 
Please visit the Bakken BBQ Pit Tent for all your first aid needs. 

ICE 
A Bakken BBQ representative will deliver ice throughout the day until 2:00 p.m. At that time, companies are responsible for getting ice.  

GARBAGE: 
Each team is responsible for providing garbage cans and liners for your cooking booth. Large roll-offs will be provided for all teams to dispose of their OWN garbage throughout the night. Please do not throw food or garbage on the ground.  

CLEAN-UP: 
All companies are responsible for keeping their space and surrounding areas clean and sanitary. Please dispose leftovers in the garbage and not on the ground. Companies must have their booths deconstructed and removed on Saturday no later than 10:00 A.M. 

SPEAKERS 
Speakers are strategically placed around the venue to all companies and public to hear announcements and music throughout the event. Please do not touch speakers. If you would like them moved or turned down, please see the Bakken BBQ Pit Tent to speak to a representative. 

ELECTRICITY: 
We highly suggest that each company supplies their own generator (Only use quiet generators). 

Generators and Light Plants will be placed around the location for company use. With the amount of BBQ Masters attending, we can no longer guarantee electricity for each booth.  

If you intend to use the provided power, please list the number of plug ins required on the BBQ Master registration form. Extension cords will not be supplied, we suggest 100 feet.Do not place any cords near the public walkways, if necessary, please tape your cords to the ground. 

ALCOHOL: 
No open containers of hard alcohol beverages are permitted outside the designated area. Teams are allowed to bring their own alcohol; however, all public alcohol sales are permitted by Maverick’s only! NO HARD ALCOHOL OR GLASS ALLOWED ON PREMISES. 

COMPANY MATERIALS: 
Companies are allowed to bring signage (banners, signs, tablecloths, and/or other company materials). Decorated booths and costumes are encouraged. 

PLEASE BEAWARE THAT INDIVIDUALS WHO VIOLATE ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY AND MAY NOT BE INVITED BACK.
